Introduction:

The tumor research laboratory was established in 2014, with an area of 100 m2. The lab was equipped with different kinds of equipment for basic cellular and molecular biology research, such as inverted fluorescence microscope, biosafety cabinet, cell incubator, analytical balance, PCR device, ultrasonic crushing instrument, etc. Our group also makes full use of resources from the institute that is equipped with flow cytometry, laser confocal microscope and other platform for imaging. This including small animal PET/CT, 7T small animal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), small animal ultrasonic imaging , Caliper IVIS Lumina II, two-photon laser scanning microscopy, etc. All of these equipment and platform meet the requirements of experiments not only at molecular level but also in living animals.

Research Interests:

Our interest covers the establishment of animal models for tumor research, and initiates comparative medical research using the established animal models. The research group makes full use of the resources and platform from the institute to carry out original, pioneering and systematic research on the establishment of tumor animal model. In the research process, the research group emphasizes mutual assistance and resource sharing, advocates the integration of cross-disciplines, uses tumor animal model to reveal the mechanism of tumor genesis and development, and provides powerful tools for tumor treatment and anticancer drug research.

Achievements:

The research group has established more than 300 types of human tumor xenotransplantation model (PDX), subcutaneous/orthotopic tumor mouse model, and can use tumor animal model to screen anticancer drugs and evaluate their pharmacodynamics, as well as carry out relevant cell biology and molecular biology tests.
